About Prints: All of my images are available as fine art prints, in a variety of sizes, and all printed on high quality photographic paper using archival quality inks. Please contact me directly if there is a particular image that you like, or if you are looking for something specific that is not listed on my site. Bio: I grew up surrounded by nature on a small farm in rural New England. While my primary interests as a fledgling adult were tinkering on cars and skiing as often as possible, my alternate passion was photography. My first camera was a used Yashica SLR purchased from my local camera store. With this new gear and a freshly minted membership to the school photo club, I was granted unlimited access to the black and white photo lab. Armed with enough knowledge to be dangerous, my creativity and passion for the craft were obvious to my educators, and as a result they provided me with more than my allotted amount of black and white film. This may have been a ploy to subvert my continuous questions and to force me out into the field beyond earshot, but I was more than happy to receive this escape-enabling gift. Armed with this abundance of film as well as the means to convert it to contact sheets and prints, I set forth to explore all the possibilities of rendering light and subject on film. After many years away from the camera, a fateful trip to South Africa reignited my passion for photography. While the magic of Cape Town and it's unique culture and character offered a compelling subject, it was the wildlife and amazing quality of the light in the Kruger National Park that inspired me to new levels. Since that serendipitous trip in 2003, I have been returning to the African continent every year since to continue my exploration of this fascinating landscape.
